Break Down Systemic Barriers,
Remove the Burden of Fistula in Nigeria

CM-Jul24

In Nigeria, where Maryam (pictured above) lives, maternal health outcomes are abysmal, and women have limited access to education. Many skilled providers have left the country, contributing to a “brain drain” across the healthcare system. Unsurprisingly, Nigeria has the highest burden of obstetric fistula in the world.

A range of systemic factors, including sexism, poverty, and lack of access to education, contribute to this burden. While we can’t solve these problems overnight, we can transform the lives of women suffering from fistula. With your support, we can help women like Maryam access the care that they need to regain their health and invest in their own futures.

Through the end of July, all contributions will support life-transforming surgeries for women in Nigeria. Act now to change a woman’s life.
