Sheila Bell’s Birthday Fundraiser

2024 – Sheila Bell

Francie Gerson and Sheila Gerson Bell pose together at Sheila’s birthday luncheon.

This March, Sheila Bell will host her 21st annual birthday luncheon in support of Fistula Foundation. Each year, Sheila hosts this luncheon at her home in Boca Raton, Florida. This year, more than 200 women are invited to attend the event where they will enjoy a delicious spread prepared by a private chef.

Sheila and Francie created a lavish array of dishes for last year’s luncheon fundraiser.

This special occasion is more than a chance to come together; it’s also an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable women, and to support Fistula Foundation, a remarkable organization dedicated to helping women who suffer from obstetric fistula.

Obstetric fistula is a devastating childbirth injury. It leaves a woman incontinent, humiliated, and—all too often—shunned by her community. The condition ranks as one of humanity’s most disabling injuries, but it can be cured by a surgery that costs, on average, $619. Fistula Foundation provides free fistula repair surgery to women who suffer from this injury in 30 countries across Africa and Asia. Since 2009, Fistula Foundation has provided more than 85,000 surgeries to women in need, and it is pursuing a vision to bring the suffering caused by fistula to an end in all countries where it persists today.

Thank you for helping Sheila celebrate her birthday—and for supporting Fistula Foundation!
