Emma’s Run for The International Day to End Obstetric Fistula
May 23rd is the International Day to End Obstetric Fistula. I am going to be running 23 miles to raise money for the Fistula Foundation.
I believe that it is so important to recognize the International Day to End Obstetric Fistula and the realities of women’s lived experiences. I am raising money for the Fistula Foundation so that women can access fistula repair surgery and holistic rehabilitative support.
What is obstetric fistula?
Obstetric fistula is a childbirth injury that destroys a woman’s life. It leaves her incontinent, humiliated and too often shunned by her community. Surgery is the only cure. Fistula Foundation funds more life-transforming surgeries than any other organization in the world. Donate today to make a difference in these women’s lives!
