Jaya Patten joined Fistula Foundation in August 2024 as a philanthropy associate. In this role, she works to cultivate strong relationships with our generous donors. Before joining the Foundation, Jaya worked in project management for a healthcare software company and with various nonprofits to support their fundraising and community outreach efforts.
Jaya holds a bachelor’s degree from Case Western Reserve University in political science and women and gender studies. As part of her studies, she researched fistulas, female genital mutilation, and period poverty. Jaya is committed to helping donors maximize their impact, and to advancing social justice and healthcare equity through their support.
