Jaya Patten

Jaya Patten joined Fistula Foundation in August 2024 as philanthropy associate and now serves as philanthropy manager, where she cultivates strong relationships with our generous donors and connects supporters to the impact of their giving. Before joining the Foundation, Jaya worked in project management at a healthcare software company and supported fundraising and community outreach efforts for multiple nonprofits.

Jaya holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and women and gender studies from Case Western Reserve University. Her research there on fistula, female genital mutilation, and period poverty ignited a lasting passion for healthcare equity and women’s empowerment. Jaya is committed to helping donors maximize their impact, ensuring every gift is met with the same care and attention that inspired it.
