Lisa Flattery joined Fistula Foundation as Deputy Director in May 2025. In this role, she serves as a strategic partner to the CEO, leading high-impact initiatives, strengthening fundraising and marketing efforts, and collaborating with the CEO on operational, financial, and people and culture priorities to keep the organization agile, efficient, and mission-focused.
Lisa is a seasoned marketing and strategic operations leader with more than 20 years of experience across multinational corporations, high-growth startups, and mission-driven nonprofits. She began her career at Ogilvy & Mather in New York, managing blue-chip brands like IBM, American Express, and BlackRock. There, she honed the art of uncovering market insights and framing strategic challenges to fuel breakthrough ideas—a discipline that has shaped her career ever since.
Lisa has since held senior leadership roles at organizations including SoundHound AI, where as senior vice president of marketing she helped take the company public, and Cprime, a Goldman Sachs private equity firm, where she served as vice president of strategic operations and chief of staff. At CityTeam, a national nonprofit, she led growth initiatives and fundraising efforts as vice president of marketing and strategic growth.
Now as Deputy Director at Fistula Foundation, Lisa brings her ability to bridge private-sector rigor with mission-driven focus. She also has a personal connection to this work—her grandparents lived and worked in remote communities in Burkina Faso and Senegal. Through this connection and visits to Africa, she has witnessed firsthand how access to healthcare and resources can transform lives.
