Rose Kahiga

Rose Kahiga joined the Fistula Foundation Treatment Network (FFTN) in Kenya as program officer in 2026. In her role at the Foundation, Rose supports implementation, coordination, and monitoring of the FFTN.

Rose is a community health and development practitioner with experience designing and implementing community-based programs across Kenya. Throughout her career, she has led and supported a range of community-driven initiatives focused on health promotion, youth empowerment, and sustainable development. Notably, she designed and successfully implemented a community-led sanitation project that benefited 295 students, emphasizing local ownership and long-term impact. Through her work with CorpsAfrica/Kenya, she mobilized more than 700 community members, facilitated skills training for women and youth, and supported livelihood development initiatives. Her professional background also includes experience in community health service delivery, human resource support, and national-level data collection. 

Rose holds a bachelor’s degree in community health and development from The Catholic University of Eastern Africa and is currently pursuing a master’s in epidemiology and biostatistics. Rose is passionate about research-informed practice and has published work on vitamin A supplementation among children. She is committed to advancing inclusive, data-driven solutions that strengthen community health systems.
